BE YOUR OWN BOSS
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

A single customer may not make your business, but they could have
a bigger effect than you think. As a small business owner a single
customer can potentially have a lot of power over you. You should
never underestimate the power of word-of-mouth, both positive and
negative when it comes to your products. Many of the biggest names
in their fields are actually people who's names you probably would
not recognize. The person with a large downline, the person with a
huge opt-in list, the person with a respected voice on a forum, or
the person who's on the verge of making it big, any of them could
be a big cheerleader or a major detractor. For example, our names
aren't all that well known, but when we've gotten what we consider
to be poor service from a service provider that will likely keep
us from recommending that service to our list. No, we aren't going
to hurt the business owner by not making a positive recommendation,
but we certainly aren't going to help them become a larger success.
I'm just a single person, but the effect that I could have on any
one business could potentially thousands of dollars a year, maybe
more on some occasions. Keep that in mind not when doing business
with me, but when you're doing business with any client. You never
really know who it is you're talking to, or what they could do for
your business. If you're courteous to each person you deal with, a
single customer can turn into hundreds more over the years, but if
you're nasty with that one client, you'll never know how much they
could have generated for your business. This holds especially true
if you run a multiple level affiliate system, you never know who's
going to refer the big hitter that you've been dreaming of.

5 eBook Joint Venture Marketing Tactics!

by Larry Dotson

1) Give Away Reprint/Resale Rights

You could give e-zine publishers an e-book which
they could sell and keep all the profits in exchange
for an ongoing ad in their e-zine. When they stop
selling it, they can stop running your e-zine ad.
Maybe only do it for a small number of e-zine
publishers at a time, so it doesn't get saturated and
they start turning your deal down. If they only want
to run your ad once, you could always include some
of your ads in the e-book.

2) Give Away An Advertisement

Create a directory of fr^ee e-zines in e-book format.
In it, list the free e-zines of publishers who have
agreed to advertise the fr^ee e-book on their web site
and in their e-zine. When you build up a large number
of participating e-zines, this will give the larger e-zines
an incentive to give away or advertise your e-book.
Of course you will have your own product ads in the
e-book.

3) Give Away Customization Rights

You could ask e-zine publishers to advertise your
fr^ee e-book in their e-zine. Tell them that the e-book
can be customized with their own web site links. This
deal will help increase their traffic and sales. Of course
you will have your own product ads in the e-book too.

4) Give Away Your Expertise

You could ask e-zine publishers to give away your
fr^ee e-book. They might accept, because they can
use it as a bonus for people who subscribe to and
read their own e-zine. This would increase the number
of people who would see your fr^ee e-book ad and
your other ads in inside it. Tell the e-zine publishers
this would also help to keep their subscribers loyal.

5) Give Away Information Archives

A lot of e-zine publishers don't publish their archives
on their web site. It's extra work and takes up a lot
of web space. You could offer to archive an e-zine's
back issues in a fr^ee e-book format on your web
site in return for the e-zine continuing to run one of
your ads. Or just have them mention the archives
can be downloaded at your web site because your
product ads would be there anyway. Or you could
have them give away the fr^ee e-book in their e-zine
because your ads would be in it.

DOWNLOAD OF INTEREST
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

If you're not a website developer then you'll probably want to go
ahead and skip this section, but if you are then you need to check
out Macromedia's Dreamweaver MX 2004. Of all the WYSIWYG editors
on the market, there are very few that are used in a professional
setting and for good reason. Most WYSIWYG editors are nothing more
than a way for the novice web designer to put up a homepage for a
family website, they aren't designed for the needs of someone who
conducts business on the web. When I first started designing web
pages I, like most designers, coded everything by hand without the
help of a WYSIWYG editor. Why? Because the editors on the market
were junk. As time has passed, and websites have become more and
more advanced there has been a need for advanced editors, and the
Dreamweaver editor is probably the best on the market. If you are
not a somewhat advanced user, this program is probably going to be
overkill for you, but if you're a real designer who relies on web
pages for your revenue, the 30 day trial of this program is a good
idea. If you'd like to check out one of the highest rated web page
editors on the market today, go to Macromedia's website and click
on the link for Dreamweaver. The Macromedia site can be found by
going to http://www.macromedia.com/. I'm going to let you know up
front that after the 30 day trial the software will cost $400 to
purchase, but that's a very small price if you're really serious
about your website. If you've been using Front Page, be prepared
to be blown away by an editor that actually does what you want it
to do!
