BE YOUR OWN BOSS
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

I know this may sound incredibly obvious to some of you, but there
are people who need to read it. I'm often surprised how often I'll
get a phone call well before, or well after normal business hours.
It seems that many small or home business owners are not thinking
about what time zone they're calling, and what time zone they are
calling from. I've gotten phone calls as early as 5am in the early
morning, and I've gotten phone calls as late as midnight and that
might work for you, but it doesn't work for everyone. Many people
working online are working from their homes and that should make
you think about when you're calling. If it's 8pm in California I
realize that is just the early evening, but that doesn't mean it
is the early evening here in Florida. I didn't used to think too
much when I made calls myself, but that has all changed since we
now have a 17 month old daughter who's trying to sleep at 11pm. I
might be awake and at the keyboard, but if you call here and wake
up my little girl you had better believe that I'm not going to be
in a great mood on the other end of the line. Use a little common
sense when making your phone calls, and if possible, check which
time zone you're calling before you dial the call. There are tons
of sites online that will tell you where a person is simply using
their area code, so there really isn't any excuse not to know. I
know this is a simple piece of advice, but not following it could
land you in hot water with one of your clients! How do you think
your client would feel if you woke up their entire family at 5am?

3 Influential Persuasion Secrets!

by Larry Dotson

1) Express the same views as your target audience.
Bring up common likes and dislikes in your ad. This
will create instant rapport with your audience. For
example, you could say, "You, like me, know it's
very important to find a good bargain." Another
example, "Both of us know that money doesn't
grow on trees."

2) You could ask your readers questions throughout
the ad copy. They will answer the questions in their
own heads as they read your ad copy. The questions
you ask should persuade the readers into buying.
People have been taught to automatically answer
questions in school, from their parents, from friends
and from authoritative figures.

3) Show your prospects how much enthusiasm
you have for your product and business. If you're
convincing enough, they will be enthusiastic too.
For example, you could say, "I'm so EXCITED
about our new product!” Another example would
be, "I can't wait for you to enjoy these benefits!"

DOWNLOAD OF INTEREST
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

This week's download of interest is a program that I used during
our computer update process this week. My wife and I both got new
computers this week and since we both work online, we had to keep
our email when we made the switch. I thought that our versions of
Outlook should be upgradeable without much trouble, but that ended
up being as far from reality as possible. After a little hunting
I found a program that moved not only our Outlook email, it also
moved our bookmarks for Internet Explorer, our documents, and an
amazing number of other personal settings with just a few clicks.
The program I used is available at http://www.backsettings.com/.
I probably spent a good 3 hours in absolute frustration before I
found this program, and after purchasing and installing it I was
up and running in about 2 hours on my new system. I'm not overly
sure why Outlook didn't include the functions in this software in
Outlook itself, but I'm glad that at least someone was thinking
and created this great software. All of the programs on the site
have a trial download available, but they are all limited in some
way or another. If you aren't moving from one computer to another
this software can still be pretty useful to you. This software is
also a backup utility that you can use to save your critical email
just in case your hardware fails, or you're hit with a virus. I'll
be backing up every week, and I'd recommend you do the same.
