THE HOME OFFICE DIGEST NEWSLETTER ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Here is your issue of the HomeOfficeDigest.com newsletter. This e-mail is never sent unsolicited. Our e-zine is mailed twice a week to a 100% opt-in database. There are currently over 44,000 opt-in subscribers. You can visit our website at: http://www.homeofficedigest.com To be removed, please see the bottom of this e-mail. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ BE YOUR OWN BOSS ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ I can't believe it, some of you are still using an email address from a free provider as your primary business address! Using a free email address for business is no better than using a pay phone number as your business phone number. With the price of a domain and hosting being so low these days there is absolutely no excuse for not having your own domain even if it's for email alone. Please folks, I can't stress to you enough how important presenting a professional appearance is and using a free email address is an instant image killer. I will not do business with anyone using a free email address and I know that many other people feel exactly the same way. An email address at you own domain shows that you are serious about your business and not just dabbling in internet marketing as a hobby. You can get a domain name for $10, and a host for $5 a month, with prices that low you have no excuse not to. FEATURED ARTICLE ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ The Seller's Creed by Rick Beneteau I will not make sales. I will make Customers. I will target the heart of my Customer. Never their wallet. My Customer is the lifeblood of my business. Though I may sell my Customers what they want, I will deliver what they need and make their lives better. Courtesy and Service are cornerstones of my relationship with my Customer. I will view complaints as opportunities . . . opportunities to create lifelong Customers. The quality of my products and how I treat my Customers will determine the level of My Success. My prosperity will come from 'growing' people. My best advertisement is my product, and, the Customer service behind it. Making money without making friends is not good business. I will guide my business with the perfect blend of heart and mind. I will make Integrity my trademark. After all, isn't integrity all I have and all I will be remembered for? I will compete only against myself as the only true measurement is against myself. It is fine to fail. In fact, it is most often a requirement of success. My reputation is everything - my ego, nothing. Every pittance I earn unjustly is a debt of fortune I must repay. No matter the fame or fortune that may follow me, My values, My family and My friends must remain at the very core of my being. Better I be trusted and respected, than be materially rich. Better I be a dolphin swimming with sharks, than a shark. ----------------------------------------------------------- ©2001 Rick Beneteau Rick is the author of 3 top-selling marketing books at: http://www.interniche.net/ebooks.htm as well as the purveyor of those famous I.D. IT! Plates: http://www.iditplates.net DOWNLOAD OF INTEREST ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ It's about that time again, time to clean up all the garbage that you downloaded, installed, but never really ended up using. Open up your Windows control panel, then click the add/remove programs icon and start removing all that junk! I know this isn't exactly a "download of interest" but from time to time you should clean up your system to ensure that it continues to run smoothly. Each extra program on your system leaves you more vulnerable to hacks and viruses that exploit older files that you haven't bothered to either update or remove. Please don't just delete all the old programs you want to get rid of, uninstall them, there is a big difference between the two! Uninstall selectively and make sure you check with other people who may be using the same computer before going overboard. Remove only the files, folders, and programs you are absolutely certain you and the other users of your computer won't ever be using again.
